Tips for Organizers
Want to have a successful TiViTz Game-a-Thon Fundrai$er? Motivate your Group Leaders!
o Before your Fundrai$er begins, direct your Organizers and Group Leaders to the Fundrai$er section of tivitz.com to become familiar with the mechanics of the Fundrai$er. Encourage them to take a few minutes to watch the tutorial and learn how to play TiViTz online so they can share their knowledge and strategies with their Group Leaders and Players.
o They’ll also need to complete their User Profile and sent invitations to their Group Leaders or Players in a timely manner. Printing customized leave-behind Flyers and Pledge Collection Sheets for their Players will also help to motivate their Players and get them started.
o Prior to the start of the Fundrai$er, hold a meeting or teleconference to answer questions and share ideas. If you’re meeting in person, don’t forget to bring food! Pizza parties, spaghetti dinners and pancake suppers are all great ways to encourage attendance among teachers, coaches and club leaders!
o Offer incentives to your Group Leaders for high levels of participation or dollars collected among their classes or teams. Ask teachers or coaches to come up with their own way to motivate students, such as shaving their head, wearing pajamas to school or dressing as the team mascot if a certain goal is reached.
Remember, the idea is to put the FUN back in fundraising!
