Tips for Group Leaders

Pump up the enthusiasm!

o Before your Fundrai$er begins, be sure to take a few minutes to watch the tutorial and learn how to play TiViTz online so you can share your knowledge and strategies with other Group Leaders and Players.

o Hold a Fundrai$er kick-off party for your Players and their parents to teach them how to play TiVitz and share tips for obtaining pledges. Successful groups have hosted pizza parties, spaghetti dinners and pancake suppers!

o Read the Players’ section under “Tips for Success” and offer these suggestions to your Players to help them obtain pledges.

o Print customized “Leave-Behind” Fliers and Pledge Collection Sheets for your Players to help them get started.

o Host a TiViTz game night at which students can play games to trigger their pledges. Encourage students to bring laptops or use computers at your school or facility.

o Provide an ice cream party, movie night or dress-down day to the winning class or team.

o Offer a no-homework pass or assign a game or two of TiViTz as the homework!

o Don’t forget to come up with your own way to motivate your students—offer to shave your head, wear pajamas to school, or dress as the team mascot if a certain goal is reached!

o Offer your contact information to parents and Players who may have questions about the Fundrai$er or about playing TiViTz.

The idea is to put the FUN back in fundraising!
