Information Needed to Participate in a TiViTz Game-a-Thon™

We do not collect any more personal information than is necessary to enable children to be effective in raising funds using our TiViTz Game-a-Thon Fundrai$er at our website: www.tivitzfundraiser.com. In fact, we are prohibited from collecting more personal information than is reasonably necessary to participate in such an activity.

We require the following types of personal information from children online: first and last name* (not for display anywhere on our website), grade level, e-mail address, and T-shirt size (for awarding of prizes). We do not ask for nor require a home or mailing address.  If a child does not have an e-mail address, we will provide one at no cost. We suggest that they not use their given name in this email but instead maybe their TiViTz online game Username e.g. “username”@tivitz.net.  We provide parental consent forms that allow parents to: 1) consent online by email to the teacher, coach or sponsor 2) Download from Player’s Profile page to print, sign and return to the coach, teacher or sponsor.

*First and last names will only be used by the teacher, coach or club sponsor (the adult supervising the fundraising campaign) and in e-mails sent by the child to friends and family members requesting pledge donations for TiViTz games played and scored online.  We encourage parents to monitor these online requests and limit them to “friends and family.”

Further, we do not have or make any agreements with outside organizations to collect children’s personal information at our site.

Use and Sharing of Information

The information we collect from children is used for Game Reports (necessary for Proof-of-Play Reports for Pledge-Sponsors) for record keeping, for marketing, and to ensure thank-you notes are sent to Pledge-Sponsors for their donations.

We do not share children’s personal information with anyone other than those who provide support for the internal operations of the website and our agents (e.g., contractors who provide fulfillment services or technical support to the website).

Prizes Awarded/Delivery

We will not rent your Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to third parties for their promotional purposes. Companies hired for the purpose of prize fulfillment are not permitted to retain, store or use customers’ PII information except for order processing and fulfillment.  Furthermore, prizes earned or won will be shipped to the Group Leader’s address (teacher/sponsor/coach) or will be delivered by e-mail if applicable (a coupon/gift certificate such as tickets, movie pass, restaurant coupon, etc.).

Updating Your Information/Profile

All campaign organizers and participants may access and modify their account information by accessing their account profiles using their username and password.

Security

We use cookies to store visitors’ preferences, alert visitors to new areas of the site, customize Web page content based on visitor interests, and record past activity in order to provide better service. Cookies are small text files that do not damage a visitor’s system or files. Most browsers will allow a user to accept or deny cookies. If a visitor rejects our cookies they may still use our site.

Our goal is to provide a secure online environment to protect the personal and financial information of all participants, particularly Pledge-Sponsors honoring their pledges online. We use PayPal’s safe and secure encrypted payment service to ensure the highest level of protection available today.
