Glossary of TiViTz Game-a-Thon Fundrai$er Terms

Tivit: A tivit is the six-sided game cube used to play the game TiViTz. It can be found in TiViTz board games as well as in the online version of the game.

TiViTz: An exciting math and strategy game designed for children in Kindergarten through grade 12. Featuring exciting themes like Space, Golf, Aqua and Safari, as well as customizable “TiViT” avatars, TiViTz builds critical thinking skills and makes math fun!

Avatar: A TiViT character that Players can customize using TiViTz game themes (Baseball, Space, Golf, Aqua and Safari).

Player: A Player is an Athlete, Student or Club Member between kindergarten and 12th grades who participates in a TiViTz Game-a-Thon Fundrai$er.

Pledge-Sponsor: A Pledge-Sponsor can be a family friend, relative or a neighbor who makes a pledge to a Player for playing TiViTz games online.

Pledge: A dollar amount promised by a Pledge-Sponsor in return for games of TiViTz played by a particular Player, usually $2 for each game played and scored online. For example, a $10 pledge will be triggered by five games played and scored online.

Pledge Request/Invitation: An e-mail sent by SAS Games on behalf of the Player asking a potential Pledge-Sponsor (family, friend or neighbors) to make a pledge. The e-mail contains a link to a customized page on tivitzfundraiser.com at which a Pledge-Sponsor can easily submit an online pledge for that particular Player. The Pledge-Sponsor may opt to pay the pledge immediately OR be notified by e-mail when the required number of games have been played.

Group/Group Leader: The adult (Teacher, Parent, Club Sponsor or Coach) at the Team, Class, Club or Local Chapter level of an organization who directly oversees Players participating in the TiViTz Game-a-Thon Fundrai$er.

Required Game Level: The number of games (played through to a completed score sheet) to a needed to trigger a Player’s particular pledge.

User Profile/Player Profile: The registration page used to record a Player’s e-mail address, Parental Consent, parent e-mail, grade level and T-shirt size (for prizes).

Proof-of-Play Report: An online report listing the total number of games played by a Player as well as the date, time and score of every game played during the Fundrai$er period. Once a Player has reached the Required Game Levels to trigger a pledge, an e-mail is automatically sent to the Pledge-Sponsor requesting payment and providing a link to the Player’s Proof-of-Play report.

Dashboard: A visual summary in which a Player can see his/her Pledges expressed graphically, including the number of Number of Pledges Invoiced, Dollar Amount of Pledges Invoiced, Number of Pledges Collected and Dollar Amount of Pledges Collected.

Pledge Summary: The tab under Pledge Management which shows all Pledges promised to a particular Player, including the Total Number of Pledges, Total Number of Games Played, Games Required to Trigger All Pledges, and Total Dollars Pledged. It also includes the name of every Pledge-Sponsor, the amount of their Pledge, the number of games required to trigger the pledge and the date Required Game Levels were achieved.

Pledge Invoice Report: The area under the Pledge Management tab which shows the status of all Pledges, including Total Pledges, Dollar Amount Pledged, Dollar Amount Invoiced, Dollar Amount Collected, Dollar Amount Pending and Dollar Amount Past Due. Individual Pledge-Sponsors are listed, along with the amount of their Pledge, the date the invoice was sent and the status of the Pledge, either pending or collected. Players may also re-send a Pledge Invoice from this page. If an invoice is re-sent, the Invoice Date will change to the date it was re-sent.

Achievement Levels: The page which shows reports concerning Pledge amounts, including the Player’s Proof-of-Play report, Most Dollars Raised by Group and Most Dollars Raised by Player.

Performance Levels: The page which shows reports for Most Games Played, Best Win/Loss Record, Most Perfect Scores and Best Players.

Corporate Pledge: Corporate or Local Company Pledge-Sponsors can be your family’s local business, the business that employs your parent or a business with which your team, school or league already has a business relationship.

Win/Loss Record:  The ratio of games won versus games lost.

Perfect Score:  A game played in which the maximum score is achieved.

Funds Payment Report: The tab under Pledge Management, accessible to Administrators and Organizers, which details the Percentage of Funds to be Paid, Share of Funds to be Paid, Funds Collected, Funds Paid and Balance Owed. The report also reflects amount of Funds to be Paid, the Payment Date and Payment Status, as well as amount paid to individual Groups, the Organizer and the Administrator.

Administrator: The person at the League, District or National/State level of the organization who either initiates and/or oversees the Fundrai$er.

Organizer: The person at the Division, School or District/Regional level of the organization. This person may be designated the Administrator, if no League, District or National/State level of the organization exists or is not participating.
